L’humour « a tout » pour prendre soin
Résumé:
Un soupçon d’humour, un sourire, un rire : ne serait-ce pas la recette du bonheur ?
L’humour est un outil de communication à part entière. Son application se révèle tout à fait appropriée dans la profession infirmière comme créateur de lien social dans la relation soignant-soigné. Il permet d’apaiser les tensions, l’anxiété, la peur voir la douleur que peut éprouver un patient lors d’un soin.
Cependant, de part sa complexité d’emploi, l’humour suppose d’entreprendre un jugement clinique pertinent de la situation, dans le but de l’utiliser de manière réflexive et à bon escient, tout en respectant les valeurs et demandes du patient. Déployer l’humour dans le milieu paramédical lors de prise en soins, c’est confronter l’infirmier dans l’expression de son humanité propre et briser les représentations de la « blouse blanche ».

Abstract:
A hint of humor, a laugh, a smile: would not it be the recipe for happiness?
Humor is a communication tool in its own right. Its application is proving to be quite appropriate in the nursing profession as a creator of social ties in the caregiver- patient relationship. It helps to calm tensions, anxiety, fear and pain that a patient may experience during a treatment.
However, because of its complexity of use, humor supposes to undertake a relevant clinical judgment of the situation, with the aim of using it in a reflexive way and with a sensible judgment, while respecting the patient’s values and requests. Spreading out humor in the paramedical environment when taking care, is about confronting the nurse in the expression of their own humanity and to break the « white coat » representations.
