L’AVC est un véritable traumatisme chez les patients qui en sont victimes. Cet accident engendre de nombreuses séquelles autant sur le plan physique, au niveau de la communication mais aussi d’un point de vue psychologique. En effet, les différents changements dans la vie quotidienne occasionnés par le handicap se font ressentir au niveau des émotions du sujet. Ceci n’est pas une mince affaire pour le soignant, au niveau de la prise en charge du patient. C’est pourquoi j’ai voulu travailler sur l’accompagnement psychologique du patient antérieurement autonome ayant été victime d’un AVC, ainsi que sur les manières dont le patient pourra réinvestir sa vie avec son handicap.

D’après ce travail, le lecteur pourra retrouver toutes les notions relatives à l’AVC, à ses séquelles et aux différents troubles notamment psychologiques qu’il entraîne. On retrouve aussi les concepts de rééducation et de réinvestissement.

Afin d’élaborer mon travail, des recherches ont été nécessaires dans le but de confectionner une partie théorique sur mon thème. Par la suite, j’ai pu effectuer divers entretiens semi-directifs avec différents professionnels de santé dans la spécialité de la rééducation. J’ai ensuite réalisé une confrontation entre ma partie théorique et les informations recueillies des professionnels sur le terrain. Cette approche m’a permis de mettre en lumière certaines notions dont je n’avais pas conscience suite à mes recherches. Pour finir des perspectives de travail on été mises en place.

A cerebrovascular accident is a real shock for the patients who are victims by it. This accident creates several consequences either on a physical, comunicative as well as psychological aspects. Indeed the different changes caused by the disability brought out by the handicap are emotionally felt by the patient. It is not a trifle matter for the nurse especially in the treatment of the patient. That is why I wanted to work on the psychological support of the patient who was previously independent, and who has suffered a stroke. Moreover I am concerned by the way patients could live with their disability.

According to this work, the reader will be able to find again the basic knowledge related to the cerebrovascular accident, the aftermath and the different disorders such as the psychological trauma it brings about. We also meet the concept of rehabilitation and reinvestment.

In order to carry out my work, investigations have been necessary to devise the theoretical part of my topic. Afterwards, I could carry out various semi-guided interviews with different health skilled workers specialized in rehabilitation. Then I confronted my theoritical part and the information collected by the professionals in the field. This approach allows me to highlight some ideas that I was not aware of in the results of my researches. Eventually, some working possibilities have been set up.
